October NEWSLETTER

Welcome everyone to our October Newsletter.

ADHD is a hot topic in the news right now, with the overall vibe being that it's being over-diagnosed or misdiagnosed.

Paul Beyond Diagnosis

A closer look

Having a private assessment shouldn't mean a guaranteed diagnosis. At Beyond Diagnosis, we ensure we use NICE-approved assessment tools and our clinicians are fully qualified to screen and assess accurately.

What happens if you aren't diagnosed with ADHD?

We realise that not receiving a diagnosis must be frustrating, when you don't have the answer to why you experience the world you do. We have several contacts to whom we can refer you, depending on where we feel you can best be helped. You can also access the Coaching with us (you don't need a diagnosis for this) for further support. We don't just close the door and walk away.

   From the BDx toolbox

Start with the difficulty, not the label

If you don’t receive an ADHD diagnosis, or you’re still waiting, your day-to-day difficulties still matter. Choose one recurring snag—like forgetting appointments or putting off paperwork.

For a week, note when it happens and try one small support, such as a phone reminder or breaking the task into a five-minute first step.

Keep what helps; it gives you something practical to build on or discuss with a professional.

At Beyond Diagnosis

What is happening

We are getting ready for autumn- how do you all feel about prepping? The fuel crisis and global upheaval are making us at BDx feel a bit twitchy. Are you buying a few extra tins when shopping? Are you getting a couple of extra bottles of water with your order? Autumn is feeling a bit different this year. Maybe the change in the season triggers a primal urge to gather ( think Harvest festival and all those tins of carrots)

Explore ADHD assessment

If an assessment is not what you need, you can still explore support and resources on our website.
